31st October, 2015

Positive attitude can do wonders. It can make possible what is seemingly impossible for the others. Positive attitude is the seed out of which positive traits, which are essential for success sprout forth. It is the positive attitude again which waters and feeds the sapling of positive traits. Especially attitude is very important in the teaching profession.  Faculty having positive attitude can turn out wonders in the class room. Realising the importance of attitude IQAC organised a session on Attitude and Personality Development. The resource person Dr Vivek Modi is a powerful motivational speaker.

He started the session with the comments   â€œthe greatest discovery of this generation is human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind”. If you think you can do you can do. If you think you cannot you cannot. This is the secret of success. Attitude is everything. A person having positive attitude can achieve his goals. In addition to positive attitude one should have self belief. Perseverance is the hall mark of success. Failures are  common. But if one develops positive attitude much can be learnt from these by converting the failures into stepping stones for success.

He narrated success stories of many achievers like Arunima Sinha, who  is an Indian mountain climber and sportswoman. She is a seven time Indian volleyball player, mountaineer and the World's first female amputee to scale Mount Everest against all odds and Ritesh Agarwaal the founder of the concept of OYO rooms. With their sheer attitude they created history. He highlighted the importance of positive attitude for faculty as this could change their personality and there by influence the students in the class room. As teachers play a very important role in shaping the destiny of students they could do justice to their profession only if they have positive attitude. The lecture was very well received by the faculty as it was full of narrations and anecdotes.
