FDP on Evaluation and Relative Grading for Non – TEQIP Institutions

AICTE proposed 10 point Grading System to End semester Examinations for the Universities in the Academic Year 2015-16. Grading System was implemented for affiliated Colleges of Osmania University from the Academic Year 2016-17. Answer Scripts   should be evaluated by awardiong marks  as per the depth of subjects and converting them in to Grades such as S, A, B, C, D, E, F carrying Grade Points  10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 0 respectively. This Grade Point System shall compensate variation of 10% in valuation of Answer Scripts done by the Examiners. Each Subject will carry certain number of Credits based on Theory/ Lab/ Seminar/ Project depending upon the contact hours of instruction. In view of this IQAC conducted a FDP on    â€œEvaluation and Relative Grading”  for the Faculty .

 

 

The Resource person is Prof S Venkateshwar, Director (Academic), Retd. Professor from Osmania University having vast experience in Academics and Administration. He explained about Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE) and Semester End Evaluation (SEE) for the Faculty to transform the same to the students and provide clarifications. He had given details  how to calculate Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA) and Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) and Awards of Division. He also explained about completion of Course and intricacies in the Award of Gold Medals etc.   

 

He had clarified all the doubts expressed by the Faculty to their satisfaction.
